In the current issue of Cross Stitch Collection (where you will find my Earth Goddess) you’ll see a preview of next month’s issue #189 featuring my new Christmas Angel. She’s stitched on 28 count ‘opalescent snow’ Cashel linen from Zweigart (3281/1111), the perfect backdrop for a snowy holiday scene. Gentle doves bring a message of Peace on Earth as they playfully drift about the angel’s elegant velvet robes. Lots of beads and metallics add a sparkling touch and add a lovely rich texture to her dress.

When I got my copy of Cross Stitch Collection the other day and saw the preview, I thought what a stunning design and nicely different from your other angels you have done. I am currently stitching one of your angel card designs, the one with the wreath from the current issue of Cross Stitch Card Shop and I think they are really lovely and relatively quick to stitch.

Oh gosh! She’s sooo pretty! Sigh, yet another one I want! lol I think I’d get to stitch all of the projects I want to do if I live to be 183 and had 38 hour days to stitch it in. But I really can’t complain (and trust me, I’m not!) – thanks for coming up with another beautiful design to drool over! I love coming to your blog and seeing what you come up with!

I just got the new issue of CSC and saw this angel. I think she is the most beautiful Christmas angel you’ve done. Great job, and I can’t wait to get her.

Hi,
I love this and want to start it but cashel linen opaluscent snow is so expensive, is there another one i can use.
Also, its because of your father christmas in Cross stitcher dec 2009 made me start cross stitching.

Hi Julie-
You can try using a different 28 count white opalescent like Zweigart’s Lugana. I’ve seen at at 123stitch.com. Here’s the link:

Hope that helps!
