A New Design for the New Year

JE287 A Year of Silhouettes Chartpack

                                    JE287 A Year of Silhouettes $16

My newest design JE287 A Year of Silhouettes is ready to ship! Now we can celebrate with these charming vignettes designed for each month of the year. Stitch the entire sampler or pick and choose your favorite month and stitch up little gifts or cards for those special occasions throughout the year. The Stitch Count is 178w X 306h. When completed, A Year of Silhouettes measures 13w X 22h inches (33w X 56h cm) on 14 count Aida or 28 count Evenweave. Stitch Count is 178w X 306h. Stitched all in one color, this design requires 14 skeins of DMC black 6 strand embroidery floss. I have pictured this on Polstitches Designs 28 count ‘tudor rose©’ Linen There is a little silhouette to celebrate each of the 12 months : January’s twilight ice skaters, February’s Valentine’s love birds, a windy day of kite flying in March, a few April showers with a pair of Easter bunnies safely tucked beneath an umbrella, a garden filled with sweet May flowers, a nimble little June rose bud fairy, sailing along the coast in July, a day on the beach building sand castles in August, in September it’s back to school, a spooky October Halloween, a bountiful November harvest basket, and fun in the snow for December.

What’s Old is New…

Six New Chartpacks

New releases

Six New Chartpacks

I am so happy to finally be able to release six new chartpacks. All of these will be available next week on both my Order Chartpacks page and through the usual online stores that you order from. Enjoy!

As many of you know I was able to attend the Cross Stitch Club Retreat in Hershey, PA last weekend, thanks to Earl’s driving and his help getting ready. It was a wonderful weekend and I was able to spend time with my friend and fellow designer, Ursula Michael, and to meet the talented designer Jean Farish. What fun! Getting to meet old and new stitchy friends was fabulous. There were 175 people in attendance, stitching away until the wee hours, enjoying new found friends, and having a chance to “shop ’til they dropped”. One of the thrills of Saturday was when Lori Laughlin, moderator of the Faces of Joan Elliott SAL on Facebook, presented me with a beautiful quilt put together by members of the SAL. It is amazing and has traveled to Vermont with me to keep us warm and cozy all winter. I am ever grateful to the talented stitchers for all their love and support. I’ll take this chance to show off the quilt:

I Love It!

Finally, the huge thanks to Fae Kuhn whose organizing genius and friendship made for a lot of happy people… Well done!

New Chartpacks for April

April 2015 Chartpacks

8 New Chartpacks

I’ve just finished preparing 8 new chart packs for April. It’s the time of year when the landscape transitions from snowy hills and icy sidewalks to a hint of spring with the tiniest small green sprouts peaking out from the garden floor. I’ve chosen a variety of my designs  that seemed just right for this very changeable time of year. Please note that the chart packs JE137 Behind the Garden Wall; JE159, For My Daughter; and JE179, Baseball, come with a key for hair and skin variations so that you can adapt them to your desired colors. The Family Tree design, JE101, comes with full alphabets for personalization and  some small motifs to fill any of the areas where you do not have names to fill in. Shipping will begin April 1st. I also wanted to mention that many of you have made requests for chart packs that you do not see in this release but rest assured, I will be including them shortly. I have three brand new designs in the works too so I’ll look forward to making those available too.

In the meantime, Enjoy! X Joan

Six New Chartpacks Added

I am happy to bring you six new chartpacks this month. Three of these, The Rose, Lily , and Chrysanthemum Fairy complete the set of floral fairies I did for Cross Stitch Collection. For everyone that was unable to get the book-a-zine I am happy to include the Green Goddess too. Two Christmas designs complete this release. I have had a lot of  people asking for the four Petite Christmas Angels and I think that the Winter’s Welcome design is just right for stitching as the days grow shorter and we begin to gather with family and friends.

New Chartpacks!

I’m introducing some new chartpacks this month. The Fire Goddess was previously seen in Cross Stitch Collection and she is finally ready as a chart release. I also have a revamped version of The Astrologer now available as a chartpack with some new colors, more beading and a softer use of line. I’m having her stitched on Polstitches 28 count ‘summer breeze’ Jobelan which adds to the  heavenly, floating  feel of the design. Astrology is still available as a kit from Design Works Crafts as is the Twelve Days of Christmas. By popular demand this very special holiday piece and is now ready as a chartpack too. All three are available either as Black & White or Color charts. Please see my Order Chartpacks page  at right for ordering details. Shipping will start the second week in December.

I’m happy to let you know that there are now two more sources where you can purchase my chartpacks. Thanks to Monika at Monika Arnold for  carrying my designs and making them available to my fans in Germany and neighboring countries. Many thanks also to two new US sources, Joanne at 123Stitch and to Donnett at EmbroideryCentral/ Embroidery.com for including my chartpacks too.

More to come, so stay tuned! Wishing all of you who celebrate this week A Very Happy Thanksgiving! May it be filled with good food, good company, and the warm comfort of family and friends.
