Thank you Willy J Maes for the beautiful stitching of my Fairy of the Rainbow (JE267). Willy is the most amazing stitcher and I am always thrilled to watch my designs come to life in her incredibly talented hands. Thanks to Jo Critchley of Polstitches Designs for her beautiful hand dyed fabric (Raindrops© 32ct murano/lugana), to Doug Kreinik and Dena Ramsey Lenham at Kreinik for their exquisite metallic threads, and to Amy Wichelt and the folks at Mill Hill for their delicate sparkling beads.

A Little Christmas Sticthing

I’ve just finished up two Christmas chartpacks for some fun holiday stitching. My Jingle Bells Christmas Library has 35 motifs that can be used to make up some quick cards and gifts. Santas, snowmen, baubles, and elves galore to give to friends and family or to stitch up some new ornaments for your own tree. The collection is shown on Polstitches Designs “heirloom©” 28 count Lugana. Brilliant Kreinik metallic thread and delicate Mill Hill Petite Beads add a  cheerful touch of bling.

One of my fondest Christmas memories is going to see The Nutcracker Ballet here in New York. I can still hear Tchaikovsky’s enchanting suite playing and the Sugarplum Fairy gliding across the stage as if floating on air. My Nutcracker sampler features the main characters of the ballet from darling Clara to the Nutcracker Prince. Each character can also be made up separately as a lovely ornament when stitched either on the fabric of your choice or on 14 count plastic canvas. I’ve shown the sampler on Polstitches Designs 28 count “dusk©” Lugana with sparkling Kreinik threads and festive Mill Hill beads to add to the holiday spirit.
