As far as I know these were only available through Herrschners.I just looked myself and it looks like they have discontinued them. I will write them to see if that is true. If They have, then I can make up chartpacks for you. Give me a few days and I will get back to you with any information.

Hey Joan, I doubt that you read this, but I want to say thank you.
I used to do cross stitch when I was little, but then for some reason I stopped and never picked up a needle for ten years – not until shortly before my 19th birthday when I picked up your beautiful bewitching cross stitch book. I am currently working on your believe piece and have finished working on dream and hope, and I seriously love it. Won’t be long now before I tackle the phoenix and then the amazing dragon piece.
I just want to say thank you for reawakening my love of cross stitch with your gorgeous designs. Thanks to you I now have more friends to share my love of cross stitch with!

    Hey Joan.
I love your designs. I have been stitching for 30 yrs. this July. I have been making baby, wedding remembrances for almost 20 yrs., and in 2012 started making In Loving Memory remembrances.
I want to know where I can find the March/ April issue of your Flower of the Month Angel Series you did for the magazine, The Cross Stitcher. I know that they are no longer in business. I had at one time ALL the issues, but SOME HOW that issue got misplaced, tossed out, or given to by ACCIDENT. I would like to have the color photo, like it came in the magazine, and the chart it’s self with all the info on it.
Thanks again for all your beautiful designs.

      Hi Jeanie,
I’m a fellow admirer and collector of Joan’s designs. If I get a whiff that she has publish a design (it doesn’t matter what year), I get my Sherlock Holmes cape and start looking until I find it. As you could imagine, your dilemma picked my interest. Which year are you referring to for that design you’re looking for?

I’ve made all four for four different grandchildren and am currently working on one again for another grand child and I lost the pattern on an airplane recently. The pamphlet number is #3045. Do you happen to have one I could purchase? We’ve looked on the leisure arts web site and also have checked amazon.com with no luck.

My dream is to stitch a very girly princess for my daughter. I imagine her to be similar to Glinda the good witch fairy from the 1939 Wizard of Oz movie. She could be wearing a tiara and a pale pink dress with lots of sparkle.

      Hi Kathy-

Yes I do have the Angels of the World ready for a chart pack. It was also a kit from Design Works Crafts but I think it is discontinued as it was out some time ago. The original is in the book Cross Stitch Angels which I worked on with several other designers. That was published in 2004 but you can probably still find it on amazon or Ebay at times. I’ll keep everyone posted on the chart pack releases through Facebook and this blog. I still have not found my original Gargoyle drawing but it is in that closet somewhere!

If you are not interested in any of those I would be more than happy to make up a chartpack for you. Just email me whether you want the chart in Black & White or Color and your general location for postage. Chartpack would be $12 plus postage.

You can also check out shipping from Jannz Craft Shop http://jannzcraftstore.com in New Zealand. Might it be less expensive from there? She carries my chart packs in black & white symbols.

Joan, Do you have any idea where I might find the Flower of the month angels from the year 2000 I believe. I have been fortunate enough to find some of them on ebay but I am still shy by 6. I lack January thru June. The rest I have. Do you have any idea where i might be able to find the others. Just in case I am going to continue looking on ebay. Any information you can give me would be appreciated. Thanks for all of your gorgeous designs. Penny Springs

I was wondering when the 1920’s lady will be available in chartpack? And also The Springtime Fairy that was in the Cross Stitch Crazy magazine. She’s the one that is sitting down in a field of flowers with a bundle of flowers in her arms. I think this is the one I told you I had gotten from the publisher. I just can’t wait to get these in chartpack especially the Springtime Fairy she is so beautiful she’s going to be so much fun to stitch. My fingers are itching to get started. LOL Thanks for all your dedication to your fans.

Hi, Joan. I’ve been cross stitching for years, and your designs are by far the most beautiful I’ve ever seen. I just finished your ‘Green Goddess’ in 4 months, the fastest I’ve ever completed anything, and it was a joy to stitch. I had been wanting to do that pattern for a while, but couldn’t find a fabric that seemed worthy of it. By pure chance, I stopped into my local cross stitch supply place the day after my wedding last year, and she had some really neat tie-dyed fabrics left after a trunk show. I found a beautiful green one, and took that as a sign that it was time to do the Goddess. I’m currently working on the ‘Iris Fairy’ for my mother (irises are her favorite flower), and planning on doing the ‘Autumn Fairy’ when I finish. Please keep coming up with such spectacular designs, and I’ll keep covering my walls with them.

It’s a great idea but I would need to find a publisher that would be wiling to pay me royalties and no one is stepping up to the plate to agree to that. I will think about self publishing one at some point but the time it would need and the expense it will incur are not do-able at the moment.

        Feb 09, 2015 @ 19:07:32

        Hi Rob-
I hadn’t noticed that before. Thank you for bringing it to my attention. There are no beads in the stitching itself but you will need them to finish the pillows edges. In the instructions it tells you to stitch a 21h X 21w square on each piece of fabric. There should be a diagram that shows where to use the red green and gold backstitches. When you are ready to make up the pillows you will be matching these colors to create the beaded edge. You will need RED- Mill Hill Bead 03039, GREEN- Mill Hill Bead 02055,
and GOLD Mill Hill bead 00557. if you would like to substitute petite beads for the french knots within the design DMC 310 = Mill Hill 42014, DMC 321 = Mill Hill 42043
DMC 349 = Mill Hill 42013, DMC Blanc = Mill Hill 40479, and Kreinik 028 = Mill Hill 40557. any other issues, just let me know. Are you working from the book or from a kit?

I fell in love with a design that said “Enter in Friendship” “Namaste”, and had planned to order it as soon as I was finished with another project. Sadly, I can’t find it now. Is there a possibility of getting a chartpack for this design? Please keep designing – your work is extraordinary!

Was introduced to your designs last year have just finished Iris Fairy everyone loved it 🙂 was wanting to know if you will be doing a chart for the married couple that was in Cross stitch collection in June. I live in Alice springs Australia and our news agent don’t stock cross stitch mags 😦 when I saw the mag on the internet it was too late and i missed it. Loved the design. Again I hope you have a full recovery so you can get back to your beautiful designs it is designers like you who are making cross stitch fun again 🙂

    Hello Joan.
I just wanted to say how sorry I was to hear about your accident, and I’m so glad that you’re okay and feeling better.
I am still new to cross stitching, but you are my favourite designer. I love your charts so much, they’re all so beautiful. I’ve already had requests from friends and family to stitch your designs for them.
I am currently working on your Art Deco Lady that was featured in the June issue of Cross Stitch Crazy and I am enjoying every stitch of it. I can’t wait to add the lovely beads to her.
And I just saw your new winter fairy on the cover of Cross Stitch Gold. I hope that issue comes to a newsagent near me (I live in Australia, and it can be hard to get cross stitching magazines here). I would love to stitch that one.
Thank you for your beautiful designs, I can’t wait to see what you come up with next.

    Hi Joan
Firstly, I hope you are now well recovered from your surgery. I have several of your books and my favourite is the Oriental Odyssey, I have done so much from that book. However over the years my eyes have got worse and from doing cross stitch every day for over thirty years I haven’t done any for the last five years. I decided to have another go and retrain my eyes. I can’t cope with the fine fabrics but went straight into Harmony and Tranquility on 11 count Aida and hae nearly finished it and once again I am addicted to cross stitch, so thank you Joan for your inspiration.

I now have a beautiful Thai granddaughter and would love to do something for her, so if you are thinking of something new, you have done so many nationalities in the past, something Thai would be wonderful, a sampler or a beautiful Thai lady.

    Kind regards Ann
